Chester County Resources

  • Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU)
    Provides special education programs and services, including Birth to Three, Preschool Special Education, School Age Programs, Adult Services, Parent Mentors, and Training and Consultation.
  • Right to Education Local Task Force 24 of Chester County
    A parent-majority advisory and advocacy group that partners with the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU), local school districts, the county mental health/developmental disabilities office, and community agencies to support and advocate for students receiving Special Education services. Its main purpose is to strengthen, improve, and monitor special education programs and services across Chester County.
  • Mental Health / Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Office
    Partners with the Local Task Force to support and advocate for students receiving special education services. A county MH/ID designee is part of each Local Task Force.
  • The Arc of Chester County
    The Arc advocates, educates and provides services to empower individuals with disabilities and their families to enhance the quality of their lives. A representative from a local chapter of The Arc is included in each Local Task Force.
